Madeline Gould – Therapy Practicum Student

“I am not afraid of the storms, for I am learning to sail my ship”- Luisa May Alcott

Beginning therapy is a big investment and takes emotional energy, which is why finding a provider who “gets” you is so important. Madeline works hard to honor a client’s commitment by creating a space that prioritizes their collaborative therapy relationship between with their therapist. Non-judgemental curiosity and exploration of the difficult experiences in life are key to successful collaboration and growth.

Madeline uses a strengths-based approach along with techniques from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help her clients grow and achieve success in their goals. Her special interests include utilizing a holistic mind-body approach and working alongside people experiencing physical injury and chronic pain.

Madeline is a student working toward completing a master’s degree in Counseling and Psychological Services at St. Mary’s University of Minnesota. She is under the supervision of Dr. Nicole Johnson.
